Best Quiche Recipe

Quiche is one of my favorite dishes to eat when I don’t know what to make. Need a quick and filling breakfast for the week ahead? Quiche. Need something elegant for Sunday brunch with friends? Quiche. Or is it an easy weeknight dinner that everyone will love? Quiche.

Absolutely perfect and suitable for any meal, quiche may be one of the most versatile dishes. Not to mention that there are a million ways to prepare it.

I’ve compiled some of my favorite quiche recipes below, but feel free to take your pick and customize them to your liking. Everyone is so adaptable!

What is Quiche?

A quiche is basically a scrambled egg pie, usually cooked with a pastry crust, but you can also find crustless quiche recipes. The quiche base is usually made with eggs (or just egg whites), cream or milk, and any additives of your choice.

What can you put in a quiche?

You can add almost anything you can to scrambled eggs to a quiche, and even other delicious ingredients like chicken or zucchini. Most quiche recipes are made with some type of protein (such as sausage or bacon), vegetables, or cheese.

You can add various spices and seasonings or even drizzle on hot sauce. Of course, there are plenty of vegetarian quiche recipes too.

Is quiche for breakfast or dinner?

Quiche is a very versatile dish that can be eaten at any time of the day. It’s made with eggs, so it’s perfect for breakfast, but its savory flavor makes it perfect for dinner, too.

Personally, I like quiche for brunch too. I’ve found that non-traditional quiches, like zucchini quiche, are more popular at brunches and midday gatherings.
