A plane transporting President Liberian President related to landing

At Liberia Main Airport on Thursday night, flights were temporarily confused on Thursday night after the fact that President Joseph Bocai was temporarily falling.

The airport authorities said that some of the presidential jet landing equipment approached the runway and malfunctioned and caused a rough landing.

The incident, which caused a panic at the airport, forced the cancellation of all scheduled flights during the night, local media reported.

President Bocai, who returned from Nigeria after his trip in Nigeria, was safely evacuated.

Photographs of the jet suspended in Roberts International Airport (RIA) circulated to social media, causing concerns about the president’s safety.

Local media, citing the airport authorities, said that one of the tires of the plane was ruptured and stranded on the runway.

In the statement, the Liberian airport authorities (LAA) confirmed the “unfortunate short -range situation” related to the presidential jet.

The authorities dismissed a report suggesting that the incident was caused by runway conditions.

LAA said, “The runway infrastructure is completely compliant with international aviation safety standards.”

Authorities said the aircraft were removed from the runway and the normal operation was resumed at the airport.

The LAA said, “At this stage, an investigation is underway to establish the actual cause of the case, and the airport authorities will continue to maintain information to the public.”

President Liberia has not yet mentioned the case, but he shared a picture of Bocai at the airport, and briefly told the journalists without mentioning the plane scared.

He went to Nigeria to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the African Regional Economic Community (ECOWAS).
