Agit Kabayel stopped Damian Knyba in the third round to retain his WBC interim heavyweight title as the undefeated fighter took aim at Oleksandr Usyk.
Kabayel, making her first return to the ring since winning against Zhilei Zhang for her first belt defense on home soil in Germany in February 2025, withstood a strong start from her Polish opponent in the first round before turning the screw in Oberhausen.
At the last minute of the third round, when Cabael’s right hand punched repeatedly, the referee intervened and stopped the fight.
In an interview in the ring after the match, Kabayel asked the crowd who they would like to see fight next, and in response, chants of “Usyk” rang out around the Rudolf Weber-Arena.
Kabayel said: Daejon: “I’ve waited so long for this title shot.
“I defeated three monsters last season in Riyadh.
“Give me a world title fight, I’m ready.
“Really, I’m ready. Let’s go.”
Kabayel is congratulated on retaining his title belt and moving to 27-0.

He said he did not expect Usyk to defend himself in Ukraine’s next match, but added: “We have a big market in Germany too, and I think when I fight the biggest names, we go to the arena.
“I think once Usyk’s team understands this, probably after he says, ‘Let’s go to Kabayelo, I will fight you’.”
