Maison de Sabre review
This quietly luxurious brand of leather bags has become very popular in recent years. Celebrities including Naomi Watts, Katy Perry, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale and Emma Roberts all carried sling phone cases. It’s one of those luxury-looking brands without the designer price tag that makes life and hands-free carrying easier.
As someone who always chooses caviar leather over lambskin, I really appreciate how durable, construction and detailing Maison De Sabré bags and accessories are. Made from lightweight full-grain European leather and premium resin coating, this soft zippered tote bag won’t get scratched or lose its shape if you throw it on the floor of an airplane. We also love the handy pockets and matching accessories for a stylish, cohesive look.
There are no big logos or big names, just small gold embossed names. It’s ideal for the city and travel, as it’s all about neutral style or ‘quiet luxury’ without the price tag. I used the black Maison de Sabre tote bag so well for daily use and travel that I bought it in beige as well. It’s the perfect size for a laptop and carry-on bag, so two internal hanging compartments and a keychain make it easy to find your phone and keys, and the zipper means they don’t have to worry about them falling out or getting caught! I actually tend to use keyrings for my Apple AirTags.
One thing I was concerned about was the shoulder straps, which seemed too flimsy for a bag this size. But we weren’t lying when we said it was designed to provide maximum comfort and durability. I filled this bag to its max and the stitching wouldn’t budge.

There’s also the Maison de Sabré The Medium Flap Bag in black, or the Mini if you want something smaller. This is for when you don’t want something as big as a tote bag. It’s one of those minimalist, boxy, sturdy bags that’s perfect for everyday wear. You know I love a structured style. I tend to travel with this and use it during the day rather than a fancy designer bag.
Dubbed the “Cult Carryall,” it has three internal compartments for easier organization and has an adjustable strap so you can carry it as a shoulder or crossbody bag. I used leather conditioner before using it for the first time, and it’s still very durable.

This is the fun part. Customizing your bag can be as elegant or fun as you want. I replaced the external keychains on all Maison de Sabré bags with matching locks that enhance the aesthetic. Because I’m a matchy-matchy girl, I also have a matching black caviar leather phone case and lipstick case.
