There is something about Türkiye that keeps drawing me back, so this is my fourth visit this year!
This time Loanne and I were invited to Cook’s Club, a calm and modern hotel that is part of the new collection of Thomas Cooks hotels. The hotel is located in the heart of vibrant Alanya, the perfect base for nightly adventures and cocktails. Designed with the modern traveler in mind, the design, food, drinks and lively atmosphere make it ideal for a holiday with friends or a partner.
Upon arrival at the hotel, the reception area was decorated with a stylish yet simple design, with brightly colored authentic Turkish pillows and beautiful wicker chairs on display, creating a comfortable and luxurious feel.
This hotel is located at the end of Cleopatra Beach, making it ideal for a morning dip in the sea! The background is beautiful and the hotel has designated sunbeds, so get up early and take a sunbed as the beach gets very crowded during the day.
Loanne and I shared a double room with a small balcony overlooking both the pool and the beach. The room had a mini kitchen and small lounge area, making it feel like a studio apartment. Our room is located above the beach bar, so it’s a home away from home for those who like music most evenings, but if you’re a light sleeper, be sure to bring earplugs!
A big bonus for anxious travelers – you can participate in a variety of activities, including boat trips, water sports and relaxing spa treatments.
Loanne and I took a cooking class and worked our magic on creating a delicious Mediterranean sea bass with vegetables. We also had a great massage at the spa which was incredibly relaxing.
Every afternoon we had lunch at the Cantina, a central dining hub similar to a modern diner where you could choose your choice of fresh salad/fish or a burger! My favorite was the delicious and fresh Greek salad with homemade lemonade! For dinner we sat at the bar outside. The waiters were so friendly and attentive that they moved our table onto the sand so we could enjoy the most beautiful dinner. Watch the sun set over the beach, sip roses, eat fresh fish and salad, and overcome the physical sensation of your bare feet on the sand.
This place is undoubtedly for music and party lovers. Saturday evening we went out on the deck to play some cool house music as the sun went down, we met the resident DJ who was playing absolute music, and we were treated to him leading us to another beach club where he was also playing.
I don’t normally consider package holidays, but if you want to sit back, relax, and have all the activities you want at your doorstep, with a simple and seamless process from the moment you get off the plane to the moment you board again, with a Thomas Cook representative helping you organize your itinerary and transport, I’m confident I have a lot to say about Cook’s Club. It creates a rustic, laid-back vibe with a party vibe and is suitable for most budgets.
