Apple said it was complying with the law by removing TikTok from the App Store.

Apple has an obligation to comply with the laws of the jurisdictions in which it operates. Pursuant to the Protecting Americans from Foreign Controlled Applications Act, ByteDance Ltd. Apps developed by and its subsidiaries (including TikTok, CapCut, Lemon8, etc.) are no longer available for download or update from the App Store for users in the United States.
