
At least 15 people are still alive and trapped under the rubble of the collapsed Bangkok high -rise building after huge earthquakes struck Myanmar and Thailand.
The rescuers say they have detected signs of life and communicated with some survivors in the 10 -story fragmentary mountains.
As the rescue effort is heading for the second day, many construction workers are missing in the field.
The 7.7 -sized earthquake occurred on Friday afternoon and killed hundreds of times at the epicenter near Mandalay, Myanmar. The powerful effect can be felt not only in Thailand, but also hundreds of miles from China and India.
There were reports of extensive devastation in the Saigawing region and Mandalay, including flat buildings and temple spire. Myanmar officials say more than 1,000 people have died and 2,376 were injured.
