At least two people are dead in a shooting at a street festival in Toronto.
Canadian police first received reports of a shooting on St Clair Avenue, where a salsa festival was taking place, at approximately 20:12 local time (BST).
six Police found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds and said two people were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have secured the scene but urged the public to stay away from the area where there will be a large police presence.
They said the suspect or suspects have not yet been arrested.
St Clair Avenue in midtown Toronto is filled with shops and restaurants.
The Salsa on St Clair Latin Festival, an annual celebration featuring a variety of live music and dance performances, was scheduled to take place between 11 and 12 July.
This year marks the 22nd festival.
