
Australia Test captain Pat Cummins will miss the one-day international and T20 tours of England and Scotland in September.
Cummins has been ruled out due to a planned break, with T20 captain Mitchell March taking charge of both teams. Cummins led Australia to victory in the 2023 World Cup.
Australia will face India in a five-Test series at home in November-January.
Pace bowlers Mitchell Starc and Glenn Maxwell are set to join the squad only for the ODI leg of the tour, while Ashton Agar and Matthew Wade have been left out as they are included in the T20 World Cup squad.
Perth all-rounder Cooper Connolly has been called up to the T20 squad for the first time after captaining Australia at the 2022 U19 World Cup, while Matthew Short is set to join the ODI squad after the birth of his first child.
Jake Fraser-McGurk has been included in the T20 squad and the batsman will look to fill the void left by David Warner, while Spencer Johnson, Aaron Hardy and Javier Bartlett are also expected to return.
Australia begin their tour in Scotland on September 4, playing the first T20 in Edinburgh before heading to England for three T20s followed by five ODIs.
