England have made seven changes to their starting squad for Saturday’s Autumn Nations Series match against New Zealand.
Skipper Maro Itoje, George Ford, Jamie George, Freddie Steward, Tom Roebuck, Fin Baxter and Sam Underhill all return to the XV.
Fin Smith was completely left out of the starting XI after the match against Fiji, while Ollie Chessum and Tommy Freeman were ruled out due to injury.
“I’m pleased with the progress we’re making,” said manager Steve Borthwick ahead of the crunch match against the All Blacks.
“Without doubt New Zealand are one of the best teams in the world and playing against them is always a special challenge.
“Playing in front of a packed Allianz Stadium means huge things to the players. The support we have received throughout this series has been great and we can’t wait to cheer loudly again on Saturday.”
England conclude their Quilter Nations Series campaign next weekend when they face Argentina at the Allianz Stadium in Twickenham.
