Avanti launches fixed-price ready-made tours: Travel Weekly

Avanti Destinations has launched dozens of fixed-price, non-customizable land packages in Asia, Latin America and the South Pacific, giving travel advisors a new way to book FIT vacations for their clients.

In total, Avanti, which does not sell to consumers and is only engaged in trade, offers 58 packages in 18 countries. Advisors and clients can check prices for different rate seasons in advance. The price includes domestic air travel, but does not include international air travel.

This is the first time that Avanti is introducing a product like this.

Avanti CEO Paul Barry said one of the reasons the company launched the product was the number of new advisors joining the industry in recent years. While they may be familiar with organizing FIT trips in North America and Europe, the destinations targeted by Avanti may not be as familiar to them.

“Going through the complex work of talking to a bunch of advisors and doing a custom FIT is sometimes not the best first step in creating a great vacation experience for your guests,” Barry said.

The new package will benefit advisors with budget-conscious clients. Barry said that when you book a FIT trip, you aren’t presented with a price until the end of the process. But Avanti’s new package brings the price up front.

“At least start the conversation and pre-qualify the customer to make sure they are within their price range and can get the type of travel they want,” he said.

Avanti also pointed out that while its packages may be offered at lower price points than other FIT options, they still offer the same tours and experiences travelers want.

The package is featured on three new microsites, one each in Asia, Latin America and South Pacific.

Flat rate, non-customizable packages are indicated on the microsite with a lock symbol. Packages include accommodation, tours, experiences and transfers, including domestic flights. Avanti selects hotels. Advisors are free to add pre- or post-trip packages, but cannot change the itinerary itself.

Packages include a mix of private, shared and small group tours and experiences.

The microsite includes a “Share PDF” tab so advisors can easily send packages to clients for review.

Currently the package is available in Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, Peru, Uruguay, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.

Similar packages are expected to be introduced in Europe next year for travel in 2026.
