Bang Bang Shrimp Pasta Ingredients
- Spaghetti Noodles: I think any pasta will work! Thin spaghetti, angel hair, or bow ties are great substitutes.
- shrimp: For this recipe, I used large shrimp because they shrink in size quite a bit as they cook.
- Heavy cream: I love adding cream to my sauce! Thin the sauce enough to help coat the noodles and shrimp perfectly.
- Sriracha Sauce: Use more or less depending on your preference.

- Make the sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, heavy cream, Thai sweet chili sauce, honey, sriracha, and salt until well combined. Set aside.
- Cooking the pasta: Boil the spaghetti in a large pot according to package directions, then drain. Then set it aside.
- To season the shrimp: Place shrimp in a large bowl and season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Shrimp dish: Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat, then add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add seasoned shrimp to skillet and cook until pink, 6 to 8 minutes. Do not overcook the shrimp. Otherwise it will get tough. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
- Heat the sauce: Return to the same skillet and reduce the heat to medium-low. Add sauce and heat for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Combine: Add the boiled shrimp and pasta and toss with the sauce.
Alyssa’s Expert Tips
Don’t overcook the shrimp! Cook the shrimp for about 2 minutes per side. It’s done when it’s pink, opaque and has a loose C shape. A tight O means it’s overcooked and rubbery.
