BBC reports near the Strait of Hormuz

The BBC’s senior international correspondent Orla Guerin traveled to the edge of the Strait of Hormuz in Oman, which has been strangled by Iran since the outbreak of war.

Critical arteries are typically used for 20% of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas.

By stranding ships in waterways, Iran is reducing global oil supplies, driving up prices, creating fear among consumers and increasing international pressure.
