Beau Greaves will compete in the PDC World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace later this year.
Greaves showed his class at the World Youth Championships on Monday, beating world champion Luke Littler by an average of 105 in a spectacular last-game decider in the semi-finals.
Professional Darts Corporation has confirmed that Greaves has accepted a World Championship berth and Tour card for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
Greaves’ management company, Opus Sports Management, said in a statement: “After much speculation after securing his Tour card for 2026/2027, we are delighted to officially announce that Beau will compete at the 2025/26 PDC World Championship.
“After an incredible year on the various PDC circuits, and with next year set to be a big year ahead, it was the most logical decision for Beau & one to have the full support of all of us at Opus.
“We look forward to seeing her back on the famous Ally Pally stage.”
The 21-year-old became only the second woman to earn a PDC Tour card, finishing runner-up in the Development Tour standings after claiming three wins during an impressive campaign.
Greaves has now guaranteed her place on the professional circuit for two years from the start of the 2026 season, becoming the first woman to do so since Lisa Ashton came through Q School to earn her card in 2020.
Greaves and Littler could meet again at the Grand Slam of Darts. Greaves qualified by topping this year’s PDC Women’s Series Order of Merit.
Littler took to social media to congratulate Greaves on winning the World Youth Championships. Littler said on his Instagram Story: “I had two legs for 10 and missed 12 doubles for nine and still couldn’t win. Fair play to Beau, he’s the best at Minehead. He’s got some talent.”
“I think she’s an amazing athlete and she deserves it,” Humphries said at the World Grand Prix. “I expect her to be active in the PDC ProTour.
“She has been a really good player on the secondary tour this year. She is also good on the Challenge Tour and Development Tour and will be a real threat to all players going forward – not just me, but everyone.
“I think she’ll do really well. If she’s comfortable and doesn’t put pressure on her shoulders, I believe she’ll definitely be in the top 64 in two years.”
Greaves has previously expressed interest in a tour card and said it would be “foolish” not to take it if offered. The British woman previously fell short in her attempt to earn a Tour card through Q-School in January.
Her sister Bobbi hinted that Greaves will claim her Tour card after the final two Development Tour events of the season, writing on social media platform “My daughter is now officially a Tour card holder.”
Sherrock’s return to Ally Pally was confirmed by Greaves’ brilliance.
The top three players in the Women’s Series standings automatically qualify for the World Championships, while Greaves’ Development Tour wrap-up and Lisa Ashton’s Women’s World Match Play win have already secured a place at Alexandra Palace.
Between the two, Fallon Sherrock finished second on the Order of Merit and has now officially secured his sixth World Championship appearance. The 31-year-old is unable to get out of the three qualifying spots in the final four Women’s Series events.
She earned the nickname “Queen of the Palace” for her historic performance in reaching the third round in 2020. She became the first woman to win the competition, although she has been eliminated in the first round each of the last four years.
The remaining two places through the Women’s Series Order of Merit will be confirmed after the remaining four events on October 18 and 19, with those places currently held by Noa-Lynn van Leuven and Gemma Hayter.
