The Belgian Food Authority’s annual report was released recently, highlighting deadly E. coli outbreaks and revealing cases of food fraud.
The Federal Food Safety Authority (FASFC) announced on the 25th thatDay Anniversary in 2025.
In total, 773 food poisoning outbreaks were reported, with 3,375 people affected and 71 hospitalized. There were 12 deaths. In 2024, there were 777 outbreaks, with 4,248 people sick and 205 hospitalized. 6 people died.
