The beach scene of Negril, Jamaica is full of contradictions. Take the name Negril Beach, for example. Many people apply this product to their local sandy soil. But contrary to popular belief, Negril Beach is not one of those places. Instead, this hedonistic beach haven is home to several beaches.
Of course, Seven Mile Beach is the most popular. However, the actual length is actually closer to 4 miles.
The only consistent thing about the beaches here is their beauty and the variety of debauchery they offer. Most of Negril’s beaches are filled with spacious resorts, beach bars/clubs and restaurants. Higglers peddling everything from hair braiding and massage to sex, cannabis and other drugs are rampant. Nude and/or topless sunbathing is permitted throughout, adding to the carefree party atmosphere.
But at the same time, it might all be too much. If it’s too much, head to the spot pictured above.
This is a sublime section of Bloody Bay reserved for guests of the stunning Sunset At The Palms Resort. Hikers are prohibited here, there are no crowded places, and the atmosphere is pure and calm.
