Boko Haram killed at least 60 people in an overnight attack

Boko Haram, a jihad group, killed more than 60 people overnight in Borno, northeastern Nigeria, local officials said.

On Friday night, armed forces hit at least five soldiers by striking the Darul Jamal village with the military base of the Nigeria-Cameroon border.

The Nigerian Air Force said it killed 30 armed forces after receiving reports of raids about the village.

This attack comes from the resurrection of the jihad activity in northeastern Nigeria. Boko Haram strengthened its attack with a fight against the African branch of the Islamic state group, Boko Haram.

More than 20 homes and 10 buses were destroyed in Darul Jamal, and at least 13 drivers and workers who were trying to rebuild in the city were killed, Reuters reported.

Babagana Zulum Borno Governor Borno Babagana Zulum visited the village on Saturday and said: “It’s very sad, and the community started a normal business a few months ago and they started normal business.”

“The numerical strength of the Nigerian army is not enough to include the situation,” he added.

The Nigerian Air Force spokesman Ehimen Ejodame spokesman said on Friday night that the armed forces were “fled north from the village to the nearby bushes.”

“Terrorists who run away from a series of accurate and continuous strikes have been decisively involved, neutralizing more than 30 rebels,” he said.

The military strengthened its operations in northeastern Nigeria this year and strengthened its operation according to continuous target attacks on formation and installation.

Zulum Governor warned that in April, Boko Haram was returning after a series of attacks and dominating control over the state.

Borno was at the center of the 15 -year rebellion of the armed group, which caused more than 2 million people to avoid the house and kill more than 40,000 people.

Boko Haram withdrew before control of Borno State’s huge areas at the peak of power in 2015.

The fight against the armed forces became more difficult after the neighboring Niger withdrew the army from the local forces established to deal with the jihad group.

Boko Haram gained international reputation in April 2014.
