On April 20, the company was notified by an employee of Broad Chocolates in France that there was a labeling error in the tasting notes insert that failed to name walnuts, a nut allergen.
Walnut Fudge Bonbons containing walnuts were misidentified in the printed tasting notes included with the product. Walnut Fudge and Peach Cobbler bonbons have been swapped in the guide. This means that consumers who rely on printed materials could accidentally consume pieces containing nuts.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
