How do I exchange cashback for a gift card?
You can use it any time before your next billing date by opening the Rakuten iOS app or Rakuten Android app or visiting rakuten.com. A minimum confirmed cashback of $5 is required. Select your gift card and complete the steps to redeem your cashback. We’ll send your gift card to the email address associated with your Rakuten account within a few minutes.

How long does it take for the gift card to arrive?
You will receive your gift card via email within 48 hours of redemption to the email address associated with your Rakuten account. You will also immediately receive a confirmation email with your order number, date, amount and other details for reference if any issues arise after redeeming your cashback. Save both emails for future reference!
How do I use a gift card?
Open the email containing the gift card. Select View Card Details, then enter your gift card number and PIN (if required) at checkout. Save a copy of your gift card details to access it later. You can use gift cards to pay when you shop online or in-store. To redeem in store, open your gift card email and select View Card Details to access a barcode that can be scanned in store.
Why don’t I earn cash back on my entire purchase when I use a gift card?
Some stores, including Best Buy, CVS, Fanatics, Lowe’s, and Petco, do not allow cash back on gift card purchases. You can find store exclusions at any time by using the See all terms and exclusions link on the Cash Back Activation page. (This is the page shown before going to the store website.)
For example, if you receive a $20 gift card and use it to purchase a $100 item, you would still receive cash back on $80 of the purchase.
Why don’t I earn cash back on in-store purchases when using a gift card?
Cashback is not available for in-store purchases made with a gift card.
