Igor Thiago made history for Brentford when he scored a double in the Bees’ 3-1 win over Burnley.

Brazil’s penalty in the 81st minute took him to 10 Premier League goals for the season, a milestone he achieved in just 13 games. Ivan Toney held the previous club record for a single season with double figures in 15 divisional games in 2022/23.

He added another goal within five minutes after Zian Flemming’s spot-kick was level, before Dango Ouattara added a goal for Brentford in the 92nd minute.

Brentford have moved up to eighth in the league with a third successive win at home, while Burnley remain in the bottom three after suffering their eighth defeat in their last 11 league games.
