Bruce Short – Permanent Style

that New PS shorts It’s live today, and as one reader cleverly guessed: Our Favorite Bruce Chino Released in spring.

This was done for two reasons. First, we love the material and casual feel of chinos. Second, because you can buy shorts in the same size as you do with chinos, it makes sizing much easier for everyone.

In fact, the beige and khaki colors on the PS shorts are the same color, so you can buy the same color if you want. Those two are so perfect, it’s exactly what we wanted.

We’ve also added a dark men’s navy color that we know will be popular. Navy is more versatile as shorts than pants. In my experienceHowever, if demand is high, they may release a navy version of the chinos later this year. Please let me know.

So the shorts come in the same size range and are just as comfortable and easy to fit as the chinos. I don’t recommend choosing your size based on what you have. old PS shorts, Because the fit was somewhat different (slimmer, lower, creased).

The shape of the new shorts was also inspired by old American military shoes I had. Previously introduced in PS. This helped me decide things like leg openings and inseams. It’s much easier if you already have vintage clothing you like and can carry small pieces with you.

So the shorts 14.5cm The inseam (5.7 inches) of my size 48 (above) is a good middle ground. It’s not a traditional Bahamian dress that ends at the knees, but it’s also not a ridiculous three inches when you sit down.

Lucas in the photo below is a size 54 and the inseam rises slightly to 16cm.

And the leg openings are comfortable and wide without being excessive. I am 32cm and Lucas is 35cm.

One thing to note here is that when you first put the shorts on, they may feel a little wide because they are pressed flat. You’ll feel the shape better if you add a little iron to get rid of any stiff folds at the seams, or just fold them over like dress pants.

As with chinos, the size of shorts is determined by the chest size of the jacket. This is how the industry applies it to pants, but when you think about it, it doesn’t make much sense. Essentially everything is inherited from the suit system.

For discerning customers like PS readers, it’s best to look at the size chart and start measuring your waist from there. My waist is just under 34 inches, so I wear a size 48 with shorts and chinos, which has a 34 inch waist.

We’ve expanded our size range considerably so we hope there’s one product for everyone. The volume of smaller sizes is not as large.

As usual, I took some pictures here to show you what the shorts look like and what to wear with them.

We talked about how versatile this particular beige color is in our Chinos article. It goes well with other more obvious things like white, blue, navy and bright colors, but it also goes well with black, showing how muted and cool the color is.

That’s it Black hand frame cotton sweater The PS product I am wearing is paired with boat shoes and Jacques Marie Mage sunglasses.

I’m wearing an old Ralph Lauren popover in khaki/olive (below). I showed it with my old PS shorts. also. Such a creature of habit.

Lastly, Lucas created a more relaxed atmosphere wearing a dark navy Rubato work shirt and dark brown Saman Amel City-Mocs.

If you think about it, that’s basically the same top I’m wearing. It’s a cream-colored, textured, untucked top. Maybe we’d start dressing like each other.

The navy color will fade slightly over time, but since it is already pre-washed, it will not fade much.
