Busy conference season in South Africa: Travel Weekly

South Africa in 2026 will be filled with tourism trade fairs with a renewed focus on gender empowerment, global partnerships and business growth across all sectors.

WTM Africa 2026 takes place at the Cape Town International Convention Center from 14 to 16 April and introduces new alliances with Women in MICE and Women in Tourism. This partnership aims to address the gender gap in tourism leadership in Africa. This year’s program also features expanded content on AI, wine tourism, LGBTQ+ travel and traveler psychology, along with a China Ready Workshop and the Africa Tourism Investment Conference. WTM attendees can look forward to hands-on workshops, immersive wine experiences and the returning Africa Travel Week Media Awards. Registration is currently open and industry members can register for free until March 13th.

OurAfrica.Travel returns virtually from March 16 to 20, connecting African and Indian Ocean suppliers with global buyers in a flexible, cost-effective format, ideal for small, remote operators.

We Are Africa will be held in Cape Town from 4 to 8 May, targeting the luxury and experiential markets, while Africa’s Travel Indaba will be held in Durban from 11 to 14 May, bringing together the continent’s best tourism products and buyers.
