C Palace 3-1 Millwall

Crystal Palace won the FA Cup quasi-finals after winning 3-1 with local rival Millwall, but the victory was contaminated after Jean-Philippe Mateta unfolded.

This incident came out in six minutes. MATETA challenged Millwall goalkeeper Liam Roberts from his box and challenged for a high ball right outside the area and grabbed the head of the palace striker with his boots.

After checking the Peach side monitor, the referee Michael Oliver’s referee turned off Roberts and Mateta received almost 10 minutes of medical treatment on the spot before taking off. He took him directly to the hospital.

Crystal Palace Chairman Steve Parish explained that this was the most reckless challenge in my football pitch when I talked to the BBC in half time.

Eagles began to have a chance with additional players and started a breakthrough in 33 minutes. Millwall defender Japhet Tanganga nodded home at Will Hughes’ Cross.

After 7 minutes, Crystal Palace doubled their lead and Tanganga had another hand. Daniel Munoz returned home in a 6 -yard box, but the goal was initially excluded from off -side.

This was overthrowed by Oliver, and VAR confirmed that the ball would stand after Munoz was out of Tanganga before returning home.

But as the last kick in the first half, Millwall gave him a life line. Matt Turner first pushed the cross, but landed on WES harding, who fired a house.

And Lions would have started the second half and would have felt equality. But if Crystal Palace settled, it would be clear that you could see the game and added the third goal safety in 81 minutes.

It was a worth -value goal for Eddie Nketiah, which replaced MATETA. Eberechi Eze’s free kick nodded by Christ Richards.

Diocese: I have never seen such a challenge

Steve Parish, chairman of Crystal Palace, is the chairman of the BBC SPORT as a half-time from the injury of Jean-Philippe Mateta:

“He has a bad gas behind his ears and has a head injury. He is in the hospital and we hope to do its best.

“There are so many emotions in football, but we have to talk about the challenge. I have never seen such a challenge.

“He must see him long and hard because he threatens his fellow experts with such a challenge.

“And I don’t know why the referee should go to the screen.

Glassner: This is a terrible foul

Crystal Palace Boss Oliver Glasner, Jean-Philippe Mateta BBC Sport:

“He is conscious and in the hospital. His ears look terrible. It’s a very serious injury and we hope to do your best for him.

“We can’t be really happy. Of course, it’s a big victory in a big victory and a quarter -finals, but there are two different feelings when you lose foul with these fouls.

“I didn’t want to see it, but I have to talk about it. It’s terrible (challenge). I’m sure I didn’t want to injure JP in this situation.

“But if you go to the ball with the strength of your head, you can’t do it because it’s too dangerous. I don’t want to blame him but it’s a terrible foul.”

“The players played well with the players until the first half of the first half, and we controlled the game and we were on track. Then we presented the ball unnecessarily half an hour ago and picked up their faith with 2-1.

“The second half was not the best game, but Eddie decided it with an amazing header. It is a great achievement to go to the FA Cup quasi -finals, and now the fingers are crossed. We are hoping to be the best for JP.”

NEIL does not agree with the parish: is not the worst challenge I saw.

Millwall’s Director Alex Neil asks Steve Parish’s half -time opinion on Liam Roberts’ challenge:

“I don’t think there is intention. Why was it? It was the beginning of the game, and the ball was behind and tried to get there.

“I will definitely not classify it as the worst challenge I saw. We do not want young people to be injured naturally. We hope Mateta will be good, and I hope he will return to the stadium soon.

“I was misunderstood, and he was sent off, he was disappointed.

“When it happened, I didn’t know if he caught a young man or caught the ball because he seemed to appear at a strange angle.

“Unfortunately, the (screen) (screen) (screen) next to the dugout did not work, so I couldn’t see the case again.

“I have never seen it again since then, but he has made a mistake and was sent off. It makes the game doubled at the stage of the game. I was disappointed. He called and did not get it properly.”

About recognized goals: “The essence of the goal is the most disappointing, one is its own goal, and the other is when we kick the ball in our own players and land on the young people in the box, we lose two headers in a row. You want to work for the goal when you go down to 10 men.

“We gave a little life line by achieving the goal before the half time, and then the plan was to stay in the game as long as we could, and it was hopefully gaining another goal, and I tried to go up two and scored as we tried to make a sub.

what’s the matter?
