The team principal Graeme Lowdon said the new CADILLAC F1 team weighs the lineup of the 2026 season, “the number of drivers” and “discussion.”
Cadillac is the 11th team in the next season, joining the grid, which began in partnership with the American automotive Giant General Motors and TWG Global, who are interested in sports entities, including Chelsea and Los Angeles Lakers.
According to Lowdon, two new seats were added to the F1 grid next year, and after the entry was confirmed in March, Cadillac contacted Cadillac by “a very sharp driver’s long list of a very good driver.”
At the end of last season, after losing each place in the grid, several lace winners, Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas are considered one of the main competitors, while the former Sauber drivers, Zhou Guanyu and Aston Martin Reserve Drugovich It is connected.
In exclusive interviews Sky Sports News Roden said, “This weekend, before the Grand Prix, he continued his virgin race in March next year at the British base of Silverstone. “The good thing is that we know many drivers there.
“All young people from Formula 2 and the formula 1 experience have been established with more and more drivers talked with these people, and we are also spending time on the ranch.
“So far, the main focus is to build a car. If you arrive in Melbourne and have no car to drive, no one will be grateful to us at all.
“But we are developing discussions with many drivers.
“We will not announce anything in Silverstone. But I would have seen this space.”
Was it meaningful for the Cadillac post of the Bottas?
Bottas, who has been the third driver in Mercedes after losing Sauber Race Seat at the end of last season, posted his video next to Cadillac Road Car last week and said, “Do you like this guy?”
But Lowdon asked if it made a wider meaning. “I saw the post -well, showing that he bought Cadillac!
“But in terms of choosing a driver, the actual technology is mixed and lucky at the moment, we are not synced with other teams, it took some time, and we can spend that time when we announce the driver lineup.
“We hope to be excited by fans, and I hope you will be excited about the fact that there is a new team that can follow the new team in the grid.”
‘The new team has no right to be elsewhere other than back.’ Lowdon accepts the challenge.
Lowdon said on the first race weekend in Melbourne from March 6 to 8: “This is the number in the walls of all our office. We have a countdown clock that shows Melbourne’s free practice time.
“We are in the goal.
“We’ve been in the wind for quite some time.”
And Lowdon, who played the management role in the F1 in the Manor/Marussia team in 2010-2015, talked about the challenge to compete at the highest level of Motorsport. “It’s very difficult. The competition is really fierce.
“Because there is a change in regulations, I don’t know how other teams will adapt yet, but the new team that enters Formula 1 has no right to be elsewhere other than the back of the grid, so our challenge is going forward and we have all the right ingredients.
“We are very realistic about the mission in hand, but it is important to be ambitious and can be seen in TWG and Cadillac, but this is a team with a vision and ambition to move forward. But we know how difficult it is.”
