Doug Ford, a resident of Ontario, one of the most populated provinces in Canada, announced that the Local government will “rip it” with Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite service.
The news was released shortly after President Donald Trump announced 25%tariffs on almost all Canadian imports this weekend, and Canada imposed a 25%tariff on US products.
Ford said on Monday X, “Ontario will not do business with people to destroy our economy.”
Musk has become closely confident of President Trump and has now supervised the so -called government efficiency department (Doge), a team in the Trump administration. At the same time, Musk’s Starlink tried to strike with local and national governments to provide satellite Internet. The ontario government’s Star Link Agreement was signed in November 2024 and had to provide a quick Internet to the remote part of the region.
Ford said in a Monday press conference that US companies will be banned in the future of the future of Ontario until the US government eliminates tariffs. Ford said Musk was “a member of the Trump team to destroy family, income and business.”
Ford said, “(Musk) wants to take food from the table of people and hard -working people, and I will not tolerate it.
“US -based companies will now lose tens of billions of dollars in new sales. They must be responsible for President Trump. ”
