
The Carabao Cup football was an action-packed evening, with over 100 goals scored across 32 matches!
Red cards, penalty shootouts and goalkeeper mistakes – Tuesday's game had it all.
Several top clubs from across the EFL took part, including Sheffield United, West Bromwich Albion and Watford, with 64 teams competing to progress to the second round of the competition.
While some strong title contenders, like Blackburn Rovers, got past their opponents easily, others didn't have it so easy.

Carlisle 0-2 Stoke
17-year-old debutant Freddie Anderson opened the scoring on a memorable night, before Emre Tezgel sealed the win for Stoke with 10 minutes remaining.
Stockport 1-6 Blackburn
Sammy Smodics scored twice, with Andy Byman, Yuki Ohashi, Maktar Gueye and Jack Bale also on target as Blackburn thrashed Stockport 6-1.
Bristol City 0-1 Coventry
Substitute Ellis Sims scored the winner in the 65th minute as Coventry beat Championship rivals Bristol City 1-0.
Cambridge 1-2 QPR
Michael Frey and Paul Smith scored as QPR won 2-1 at Cambridge.
Cardiff 2-0 Bristol Rovers
Goals from Mark McGuinness and Rubin Colwill helped Cardiff beat Bristol Rovers 2-0 to progress to the second round.
Fleetwood 2-1 West Brom
Fleetwood caused a huge shock on the night with a 2-1 win over Championship side West Brom.
The Baggies took an early lead through a brace from Armstrong but the second-tier Town pulled off a stunning comeback thanks to goals from Ryan Graydon and Ronan Coughlan.
Norwich 4-3 Stevenage
Stevenage equalised twice for Norwich but second-half goals from Borja Sainz and Onel Hernandez gave the Championship Canaries a 4-3 win.
Oxford United 2-0 Peterborough
Tyler Goodrum and Matt Phillips scored first-half goals on their debuts as Championship newcomers Oxford secured a 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Division One side Peterborough.
Portsmouth 0-1 Millwall
A stunning finish from Romain Esse earned Millwall a 1-0 win over Portsmouth and sent them into the second round of the Carabao Cup for the first time in three years.
Preston 2-0 Sunderland
Goals from Ryan Ledson and Mars Prokshere gave Preston a 2-0 win over Sunderland in their first game since manager Ryan Lowe's shock resignation.
Swansea 3-1 Gillingham
Swansea secured their place in the second round with a 3-1 win over 10-man Gillingham at the Swansea.com Stadium.
Watford 5-0 MK Dons
Tom Ince's hat-trick helped Watford rout MK Dons 5-0 as Tom Cleverley's side continued their strong start to the 2024/25 season.
Sheffield United 4-2 Wrexham
Sheffield United came from 1-0 down to beat Wrexham 4-2 at Bramall Lane with ease. Will Boyle put the Welsh side ahead but Auston Trusty, a Lewis Brunt own goal, Louie Marsh and Anis Slimane put United ahead before Seb Revan pulled one back as the pressure started to build in added time.
Birmingham stun League One rivals as derby comeback win
Kayden Jackson scored the first goal. Derby They ran from behind and scored a goal. chesterfield 2-1.
Armando Dobra put Chesterfield ahead but Liam Thompson levelled before Jackson levelled in the second half.
