
Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz reached the first ATP Master 1000 finals in 13 months. In the Monte-Carlo Masters, he won the 7-6 (7-2) 6-4 victory over Countryman Alejandro David Beach Pokinawa.
Alcaraz, the dominant French open champion, won the first final in this level after winning Indian Wells in March 2024.
The 21 -year -old boy became the 12th Spanish at the World NO 42 and won the finals at a famous event.
Alcaraz said that it took a long time for 13 months in Masters 1000 Finals. “I just had to be patient and I believed that this moment would come again.
“Sometimes people are not patient and want to play in all tournaments, and I am very happy to give them a chance to see one of my finals again.
Alcaraz said, “I think I had a really good tennis from the beginning to the last point.
“I tried to get a chance he gave me in the game. He saved a lot of rest and game points, but I’m really happy to think about myself. The most important thing is that I feel physically.”
