annually April 15thItaly celebrates something that goes far beyond labels. It celebrates a way of being, a way of creating, and a way of living. that Made in Italy DayIt is a moment to celebrate the creativity, craftsmanship, and excellence that define our country and inspire the world.
The date itself is very symbolic. April 15th marks the birthday of Leonardo da Vinci, a genius who perfectly embodied the harmony between art, innovation, and vision. It still lives on today in everything we proudly call it. Made in Italy.
But what makes this celebration truly special is not just the products we produce, but the soul behind them.
The sound of Made in Italy
Last February, I had the honor of being the moderator of a very special project presented at the Olympic and Paralympic events in Milan-Cortina. craftsman’s voiceProduced by Confartigianato Imprese Veneto.

All of this took place at Casa Veneto in Cortina. This is a truly beautiful and inspiring space that has become our region’s home during the Olympics. Every day was vibrant with events, presentations and stories demonstrating the excellence, creativity and spirit of Veneto. It was a place where people could discover different aspects of our land, from craftsmanship to culture, innovation to tradition.
In this special environment, craftsman’s voice It has become more meaningful. It was a truly moving experience.
Seven artisans, one from each region of the Veneto region, were chosen to represent something much greater. 120,000 artisan businesses. The seven stories are rooted in different territories and each reflects the identity and excellence of that land.
at BellunoThe art of eyewear originated in the Dolomites, where precision, innovation and design come together in a tradition known throughout the world.

at TrevisoThis is Montebelluna’s technical sports footwear excellence, where craftsmanship meets performance and supports the highest level of athletes.
at vicenzaThere is the timeless elegance of the art of goldsmithing, but also the delicate sophistication of porcelain, where originality and precision bring to life true works of art.

at VeroneseThe strength and beauty of marble were created into a work that incorporates both history and modern design.

at PaduaThe pipe organ’s exceptional craftsmanship combines engineering, music, and artistry to create an instrument that fills a room with emotion.

at veniceDeeply connected to the lagoon by ancient boat-building techniques, the tradition is still alive in every curve and every detail.

and RovigoIt is a beautiful expression of craftsmanship rooted in the land where food, agriculture and innovation meet. From artisanal bread making to sophisticated aquaculture and even oyster farming, this region tells the story of how traditions can evolve while maintaining a deep connection to nature.
7 provinces. 7 identities. One soul.
But what made this experience truly unforgettable was not only discovering their work… but meeting them.
Look into their eyes, hear their stories, and see the pride, care, and love they put into what they do every day. There is something very powerful about artisans. A quiet strength, a deep connection to their craft that goes beyond technology. It’s identity. It’s a legacy.
And what surprises me even more is that they are not only preserving the tradition, but also developing it. They are modernizing knowledge accumulated over centuries, bringing innovation to their work while remaining deeply rooted in tradition.
At that moment, I truly understood. Made in Italy method.
It is a form of Artisan’s Intelligence— Intelligence passed down through generations through hands, minds and experiences. Something that cannot be copied, something that can only be lived and felt.
And for me, this journey is just beginning.

I plan to visit these artisans personally to spend time with them, learn more, and truly experience their world. And I want to share this meeting with you all… Because this is a story worth seeing, feeling, and telling.
