Footage shows the moment debris from a small aircraft falls to the ground after crashing into Beijing’s tallest building.
Witnesses told Reuters the car-sized aircraft crashed into the CITIC tower, also known as China Zun, on Friday.
Social media footage captured from a nearby building showed what appeared to be a small plane on the ground. Firefighters were also seen putting out the fire in the tower.
CITIC Tower is a 108-story skyscraper located in Beijing’s central business district and is the headquarters of the state-owned conglomerate CITIC Group, one of the largest in China.
There was no immediate comment from authorities on the incident.
