  • One cup Frozen Sweet Cherries
  • 3/4 cup standard size ice cubes
  • 3/4-1 cup Non-dairy milk (Regular, unsweetened // I like almonds)
  • 1-2 Scoop Chocolate Protein Powder* (or substitute vanilla or unscented)
  • 1-3 teaspoon cocoa powder (or cocoa powder)
  • One A small handful Baby Spinach (optional // to supplement nutrition)
  • One A large spoon Cashew butter (optional // for abundance)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1-2 teaspoon maple syrup (optional // Include if using unsweetened protein powder // or substitute seedless dates)
  • In a high-speed blender (or a small, powerful blender like a Nutribullet ), add the cherries, ice, non-dairy milk (start with a small amount), protein powder, and cocoa powder (a small amount if using chocolate protein, a large amount if using unflavored/vanilla protein). Optionally, add the baby spinach, cashew butter, and vanilla. If you want a sweeter shake or are using unsweetened protein powder, add the maple syrup (start with a small amount).
  • Blend on high speed until thick and smooth, adding more non-dairy milk as needed or using a tamper to aid blending. Taste and adjust as needed, adding more cocoa powder and maple syrup to taste.

  • Eat immediately (the texture and flavor are best when fresh) or freeze in ice cube trays, then blend and enjoy later, adding non-dairy milk as needed.
