Chelsea have agreed terms with Atletico Madrid for Conor Gallagher after the England midfielder rejected a contract extension offer on Wednesday.
Gallagher has rejected a new three-year contract extension (two years plus an option for a year) to stay at Stamford Bridge. He also rejected a contract extension offer in early June.

Gallagher is said to be interested in a move to Atletico and Chelsea will do everything they can to support his move to Spain if he so desires.

The Blues are currently waiting for Gallagher, whose contract at Stamford Bridge expires next summer, and his camp to decide what he wants to do.
The salary Chelsea have offered him is believed to be similar to that of the highest-paid players in the team's midfield and is also thought to be in line with other offers he has received.

In both games – despite all the warnings from pre-season – Chelsea looked open, uncertain and prone to mistakes, whether it was the Wrexham or Celtic forwards, repeatedly creating space in behind or allowing Chelsea defenders to play the ball back into dangerous areas.
