
USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issues public health alerts for ground beef products that may be contaminated with foreign substances, especially metals. A recall has not been requested because the product is no longer available for purchase.
The issue was discovered by the company after receiving two complaints from consumers.
FSIS is concerned that some of the products may be in consumers’ freezers. Consumers who have purchased the product in question are advised not to consume the product.
The ground beef item was produced on February 26, 2026. The following products are subject to a public health alert:
- 16-ounce (1-pound) plastic, vacuum-sealed package containing “white oak ranch, fundamentally traditional farming, grass-fed ground beef.”
This product has the establishment number “EST 34729” printed inside the USDA inspection mark and is stamped on the back “105761 Sell by 03/19/26”.
These items were shipped to distributors and Mom’s Organic Markets retail stores in Washington, D.C., Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
There are no confirmed reports of injuries resulting from consumption of this product. Anyone concerned about injury should contact their health care provider.
