Contiki said it will add four Asian tours in 2025, including a nine-day tour of the Borneo Malaysia region, which it has never offered before.
Starting at $2,714 per person, Borneo Expeditions offer guests the opportunity to see orangutans and sun bears in their natural habitat at the Semengo Orangutan Wildlife Centre. Other highlights include a day at Selingan Turtle Island, where travelers can see turtles laying eggs on the beach. This trip also includes a Kinabatangan River cruise where you can spot more wildlife.
“Borneo is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered,” said Taryn Welsh, Director of Operations for Contiki – Asia and Australia. “Six percent of the world’s biodiversity lives here, and our new tours will allow travelers to see a lot of that biodiversity.” Welsh added that Contiki “ensures that we are exploring the island’s rainforest in a sustainable way.”
Contiki, which specializes in trips for travelers aged 18 to 35, is expanding its Philippine island hopping tours by creating another trip that will visit four additional islands in the eastern Philippines. Travelers who want to explore both the eastern and western regions of the Philippines can book a complete 22-day Philippine island hopping trip.
Contiki said it has also reintroduced its previously popular tour, China Adventure. The 12-day tour is ideal for travelers who prefer organized group travel because language barriers and size make traveling across the country difficult, Contiki said.
In India, the eight-day Eternal India Express tour visits Delhi, Agra, Udaipur, Jaipur and Ranthambore and includes tickets to the Taj Mahal, a tiger safari in Ranthambore and a tour of the streets of Old Delhi by tuk-tuk.
