“The trial court skillfully presided over this complex and important issue, with both the State and Murdaugh’s counsel skillfully presenting their cases to the jury,” the judges wrote. “But their efforts were in vain as Colton County Clerk of Court Rebecca Hill put her finger on the scales of justice, denying Murdough his right to a fair trial by an impartial jury.”
