Garlic Bread Pasta Ingredients

  • Pasta Types: You can use any shape of pasta, but I like to use a shape with ridges to hold all of the butter sauce.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese cheese; It will melt better.

  • Travel path: Use regular, Italian seasoning, panko, or make your own!

How to make garlic bread pasta

I wanted to make this pasta extra special, and the roasted garlic took it to the next level! Once baked, everything comes together in about 20 minutes. For an easy protein boost, add quick air fryer chicken on top.

  1. Roasted Garlic: Preheat oven to 400°F. Cut off the top of the garlic head to expose the cloves. Drizzle with olive oil and wrap in foil. Roast the garlic for 45 minutes until golden brown and soft. Let the garlic cool slightly, then squeeze the garlic out of its skin.
  2. Brown bread crumbs: Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a medium skillet and add breadcrumbs. Bake over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes until the bread crumbs turn golden, then cool.
  3. Cooking Pasta: Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions or until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving some of the water for the end.
  4. Make the garlic sauce: In a bowl, mash the roasted garlic with softened butter, Parmesan cheese, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Combine: Add butter mixture to hot pasta and stir to combine. The heat from the pasta will melt the butter. Add more pasta water if necessary.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Serve garlic bread pasta, topped with breadcrumbs and topped with more Parmesan cheese and parsley, if desired.

Hot pasta! While the pasta is hot, add it to the garlic butter mixture! The butter needs to be hot to melt and coat the pasta.
