Creative and Unique Gift Ideas (that you don’t have yet)

We shared a holiday gift guide, but many people requested a gift guide with unique ideas rather than the typical kitchenware, clothing, and toys. This list of gift ideas is just that…a collection of unique and creative ideas that the recipient probably doesn’t already have!

All of these gifts are practical, healthy and easy to use, so they don’t have to sit on a shelf. Give it as a gift for a wedding, birthday or just about anything. As a bonus, if you live in the same household as the recipient, you can also enjoy the health benefits of this gift!

Best Unique Gift Ideas

This is my gift to the hard-to-shop for people on my list. I know they don’t have any of these things yet and I love that they can reap the health benefits too!

red light therapy

?tp image id=494500

What is my mom getting this year (I hope she doesn’t read this!). Red light therapy, or photobiomodulation, has been shown to improve skin, increase collagen production, and improve mitochondrial function in the body. I use it every day and wanted her to be able to benefit too.

I use Joovv Combo lights. You can purchase either a mini version (pictured here) or a modular panel to take your wellness benefits on the go. The modular option allows recipients to purchase more panels at a later date for a more full-body experience. Enjoy the biggest savings of the year with our early Black Friday sale until December 2nd!

?tp image id=494502

You don’t need to understand quantum mechanics to harness its power. LeelaQ provides quantum blocks that help harmonize energy and protect against harmful energies such as 5G and other radiation. They offer a variety of quantum energy products to suit all budgets.

You can learn more about the science behind energy medicine in my podcast with LeelaQ owners here. Leela Quantum Tech’s biggest sale of the year starts now and runs until December 3rd. When customers pay with cryptocurrency, a 25% discount and a 35% discount are provided on all items. Use promo code: BLACKFRIDAY

beekeeper course

Give them new technology and help our planet! Become a Beekeeper Course: This is an amazing introduction to beekeeping courses. They will teach you everything from purchasing bees to harvesting honey. Use code WELLNESS2021 to get 15% off!

Grow your own mushroom logs

?tp image id=494505

You may have heard of mushroom growing kits that come in a box, but these fungi come with their own log. They can grow organic shiitake mushrooms at home in just 10 days. You don’t need a green thumb to grow these mushrooms, as they certainly do.

Each chest/log can grow two crops of mushrooms. Created by a small business in the US, you can even donate a mushroom kit to the classroom of your choice by tagging your harvest on social media.

mini trampoline

?tp image id=494503

It’s great for your lymphatic system, an easy way to exercise, and a lot of fun! Mini trampolines (also known as rebounders) are perfect for most homes, and jumping on them is great daily practice. It’s great to keep in your life while watching your favorite shows, or for a little brain and movement break during the day.

Simple and inexpensive, mini trampolines are not only fun for the kids on your list (or the young at heart), but they’re also good for your health!

Flower press and glass frame

?tp image id=494488

Many people like to decorate their homes with fresh flowers, but they don’t last long. But with a wooden flower and plant press, you can preserve nature for years to come! Use on flowers, ferns, leaves and other foliage.

Once you’ve pressed a variety of plants, you can use these hanging glass frames to arrange them in a beautiful display.

acupressure mat

?tp image id=494489

Recipients can use this gift at home for a few minutes a day to improve sleep, relieve tension, and relax. This mat has approximately 10,000 acupressure points that press against your body and help increase blood flow to your back and neck muscles. This may help reduce inflammation and pain while releasing endorphins.

The neck pillow has 1,782 acupressure points that reach between the neck and shoulders to fundamentally treat tension headaches and neck muscle pain. Here’s what I have and love.

balance chair

?tp image id=494490

Is there someone on your list who works at a desk for part of the day? Many businesses have no problem changing their chairs to more ergonomic ones, even if they don’t use standing workstations. This balance chair combines a yoga ball with a desk chair rolling chair to engage your core and negate some of the harmful aspects of sitting all the way down.

full spectrum sunlight lamp

?tp image id=494491

For people who suffer from seasonal affective disorder or daytime sleepiness, a sun lamp may be the answer. There are bright full-spectrum bulbs that simulate daytime, indoor, and even winter conditions.

This is what you use to keep your cortisol levels healthy.

trigger point massage tool

?tp image id=494492

Trigger point massage tools look like wands but are effective for self-massage. Great for hitting hard-to-reach areas and relieving tension in your back. I love using this while watching a movie (bonus if you’re sitting in a yoga ball chair!).

Kruse bicycle

?tp image id=494493

This is only recommended for no more than 5 people on your list. This is a new approach to training bikes. It has no training wheels or pedals – it’s just an ultra-light bike that teaches balance. The best part? Children can lift, clean up and move it on their own.

CSA member

It’s a great way to support local farms and give the gift of fresh vegetables all year long. CSA stands for “community supported agriculture” and means members essentially share in the farm’s harvest for the year. We have been members of several different CSAs over the years and loved them all. To find a CSA near you, search for CSAs in your area here.

Myobaidi

Creative and unusual gift ideas (that can't just sit on a shelf)

I received one of these as a gift and it is now one of my favorites! It’s basically a combination of percussion massage, myofascial release, and infrared heat. It feels like a mix of deep tissue massage and myofascial massage and it’s so relaxing!

I liked it so much that I asked my readers for a discount. Enter code WELLNESSMAMA at this link to get $50 off Myobuddy Pro2 and $100 off Myobuddy Pro2+.

squatty toilet

?tp image id=494495

What could be better than receiving the gift of good posture in the bathroom? Squatty Potty gained popularity after appearing on Shark Tank, receiving many celebrity endorsements, and the famous (and now banned) unicorn poop video. My family has had it for many years.

My midwife even recommended this product to me during my last pregnancy for better toilet position and preparation for labor. Try pairing your gift with a bottle of natural bathroom spray to eliminate odors.

Coffee and Chemex

?tp image id=494494

I have two principles about coffee. I don’t drink it every day, I only drink good coffee. (Except when camping. There’s something good about camping when the coffee isn’t that good!) My Chemex is one of my favorite ways to make coffee.

Plus, I love Four Sigmatic coffee or Purity coffee (use code wellnessmama for 20% off!). Chemex is a cone-shaped glass pour-over coffee maker that makes amazing coffee without any bitterness or acidity. It’s also beautiful and makes me want to drink coffee *almost* every day!

Home Probiotics

?tp image id=494496

Sounds strange, right? It turns out that our homes have a microbiome just like our guts, mouths, and skin. Many scientists are concerned that we are giving birth and living in sterile environments where our gut microbiome may suffer.

We can improve our gut bacteria in many ways, but just as I often let my baby play in organic dirt, we can support our skin and gut microbiome by interacting with probiotics in the environment. There is also evidence that these beneficial bacteria may help prevent mold and odor in your home. So, I spray household lactic acid bacteria called Homebiotic at home. Even the super crunchy person on your list will love this quirky gift!

sauna

?tp image id=494497

This is a gift you should only buy for someone you really love, as it is not cheap. There are many benefits to using a sauna every day, and using a sauna at home is the easiest way to achieve this. We have a two-person Clearlight Sauna, and I love it because it’s my “quiet box” where I can sweat, listen to a podcast, and just have a few minutes. Black Friday sale is going on now!

If you want something that’s more portable and much less expensive (but still works great), a sauna blanket could be the perfect solution. Bon Charge’s sauna blanket is thin enough to be stored under your bed and has very low EMF emissions. I also love the sauna blanket from Higher Dose and have given it as a gift before.

Now for Black Friday, get 20% off Higher Dose sauna blankets with code BFCM.

puzzle box

?tp image id=494498

This beautiful Japanese puzzle box is a unique way for older children and adults to keep their precious items safe while having fun learning about them. It’s handcrafted and requires creativity and problem-solving to make it work.

You can also give them a money maze puzzle box containing cash. This way they can have fun with the puzzles and get some cash to get what they want. It’s much better than a card with cash in it!

My own photo book

?tp image id=494499

Every year I create a photo album for each of my children with special memories from the past year. I’m always looking forward to their own special memory book! I’m trying to make one for my parents too.

My favorite one is from Mixbooks. You can customize the design and size and choose a hardcover or layflat option. Record memories of a special trip or event in a photo album so the recipient can cherish them. Until 11/25/24 use code PAGEGIFT to get up to 50% off almost everything.

Which of these gifts do you like? What is the most special gift you have ever received?
