

The FA is investigating claims that referee David Coote discussed giving a yellow card before the match.
sun The newspaper claimed Coote sent the following message to a friend after warning then-Leeds player Ezgjan Alioski during a match against West Brom in October 2019: “I hope you will support it as discussed.”
The Sun reported that Coote denied any wrongdoing.
A PGMOL spokesperson said: Sky Sports News: “In light of these very serious allegations, the facts need to be established.
“We adopt a zero-tolerance approach to breaches of our Code of Integrity and Conduct, which all match officials sign annually. The PGMOL Board of Directors is committed to taking appropriate action where breaches of the Code are proven.
“David Coote remains suspended and is subject to ongoing disciplinary proceedings by the PGMOL separate from the investigation into this matter, which will be conducted independently by the FA.
“We will not be making any further comment at this stage.”
An FA spokesman said: Sky Sports News: “These are very serious allegations and we are investigating them urgently.”
