Goalkeeper David Marshall has announced his retirement and is set to become Hibernian's technical performance manager.

The 39-year-old finished his outstanding career with 670 senior first-team appearances over the past 20 years.

He made his debut for Celtic in February 2003 and went on to win two league titles and a Scottish Cup with the Hoops, while also appearing in the Champions League and UEFA Cup.

Marshall also lifted the English Championship trophy at Cardiff City, playing under Hibs' new sporting director Malky Mackay.

He has made over 100 appearances in the Premier League and over 450 in the Championship, having played for Norwich City, Cardiff City, Hull City, Wigan, Derby County and QPR before joining Hibs in 2022, making 86 appearances and keeping 22 clean sheets. I did.

Marshall will become Hibs' technical performance manager, providing direct support to Mackay and the club's first team.
