I keep reading about how people want to be elegant and well-dressed once all this is over (dare I even suggest it)? When I hear this, I laugh because it reminds me of the skirt suits of the 50s and early 60s.
One of my favorite things about dressing for spring is embracing the opportunity to wear almost nothing, or at least something very light underneath a big, thick winter coat. Juxtaposition (again, I contrast) Big, clunky coats, elegant or flowing dresses, and lots of embellishments are my favorite clothes. Add in t-shirts and we’re really in business.
It’s awkward, a little funny, loose, and always human and fascinating. At least I think so.
For the record, I honestly dug the snapshot, and when I look at the fifth photo of the person holding a copy of that (horrible) newspaper, this is all I can think of. this Amazing moments from IDLES’ Glastonbury performance.
And what about that new one? fiona apple album, Amirite?
