Death Valley covered in wildflowers at their best bloom since 2016

California’s Death Valley, the hottest place on Earth and the driest place in North America, is currently covered in wildflowers, expected to have its best bloom in a decade.

The National Park Service (NPS) officially classified February 22 as an above-average bloom year with lower elevation blooms throughout the park.

The entire desert was transformed and covered in golden and purple vegetation in the best event the site has seen since 2016.
