Delta and United resume flights to Israel: Travel Weekly

Delta and United Airlines plan to resume flights to Tel Aviv this week.

United has confirmed that one of its daily flights between Newark Liberty International Airport and Tel Aviv has resumed on June 6. A second daily flight is still canceled through June 20, according to a United spokesperson. The airline resumed flights in March, but suspended operations again in mid-April after Iran attacked Israel.

Delta flights between New York and Tel Aviv will resume on June 7, as announced in March. The airline will “continue to closely monitor the situation in Israel in collaboration with government and private sector partners.”

American Airlines plans to resume direct service to Tel Aviv on October 26, the airline confirmed to Business Travel News on Wednesday. Before the discontinuation, American served Tel Aviv via New York.

Several airlines suspended service to Israel after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, after which Israel launched an offensive in Gaza.
