Disgruntled X users switch to Bluesky.

Welcome back to Week in Review. This week, we’ll break down Bluesky’s surge in users, Elon Musk co-leading Trump’s “Department of Government Efficiency,” and Mark Zuckerberg’s latest attempt at extreme wife-husband behavior. Let’s go.

Bluesky is seeing a huge surge. This is because X users who are dissatisfied with the platform’s latest policy decisions move to competitor social networks. The decentralized social media platform has grown to over 16 million users, including Swifties. If you’re making the transition, or at least want to make sure the grass is greener (or greener) on the other side, we’ve put together a guide on how to get started.

Tesla Cybertruck is facing its sixth recall. It affects 2,431 units per year. Tesla’s report found that the trucks were equipped with or were equipped with defective drive inverters. Unlike the Cybertruck recall in October, which could have been resolved with an OTA update, Tesla must physically replace the recalled drive inverters for this batch. The EV manufacturer announced that it would provide this for free.

Elon Musk will become President-elect Donald Trump’s co-chairman. The Department of Government Efficiency is an acronym for Musk’s favorite cryptocurrency. Musk will lead the department alongside biotech entrepreneur and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who will help the Trump administration “dismantle government bureaucracy, cut excessive regulation, cut wasteful spending, and reorganize federal agencies.” We will help you do it.
