Dispatch, Jordan: The beauty of other worlds of Wadi Rum: Weekly Travel

Wadi Rum, Jordan -Sit behind the roaring pickup truck through the desert, I was surprised by the vastness of Wadi Rum.

We were here in the late day of jam on the G Adventures trip in Jordan. Early that day, we woke up before the sunrise and woke up to overcome the heat to hike with Petra.

Our media cohort has spent several hours fascinated by this ancient wonders and visited the protected deserts made of films such as “The Martian”, “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” and “Dune”.

The UNESCO World Heritage site seemed to be endless, and the green sand made me feel as if I was somewhere on the earth. The heat was given to us, but as we expanded through sand, we cooled us when we whipped it with air.

The sand clouds bloomed behind us and coated us in the dust, but we were protected by our shemage (traditional scarf worn on our heads and faces), which was distributed to us before our guide experienced.

It was definitely bumpy to ride, but I was excited to speed up with red sand surrounded by mountains. The landscape is different from what I have experienced. Especially at the favorable point on the top of the sand dunes, we were able to cut the size of the place by investigating the valley below.

Our guide has said that tourism has soared in recent years, thanks to the desert of the film and the viral video. As a result, luxury camps and glamping places were popped up around the area, allowing guests to access the desert outside the door.

We stayed at such a camp: Al Sultana Luxury Camp. The camp has a trendy globe -style personal accommodation, but we stayed in a more like a nice hut.

After our desert adventure, we were a traditional Bedouin night filled with performances, traditional foods and dances to shake off the sand and prepare for what our guide said. We ate cushions at the colorful salty sea of the palm trees. In the middle of the desert, it felt like a lush paradise.

In the evening, we danced, festival, and henna design from local women. Then our crew headed to camp. I’m tired, but I locked the tent door and took my eyes off the sky and stopped on the track. On a black night, hundreds of small stars shine from the Galaxy.
