DIY BUG Repellent Lotion Bar

Since I have learned how to make a lotion bar, I have experimented with various variations, including sunscreen bars and vapo-rub bars. Favorite your favorite: bug Lipfeld Lotion Bar!

They can be made as easily as the original rods and are more effective to stay away from bugs than regular homemade bug sprays. Perhaps they actually coat the skin with a protective layer. They can be easily caught and children can apply themselves.

What is the problem of bug spray?

I’m definitely not a fan of mosquitoes or tick bite, but I’m not a passionate fan of bug spray. This usually includes DEET, a chemical that is related to many potential health problems.

Some of the reported side effects include a thousand people, muscle spasms, skin rashes and blisters, dizziness, loss of direction and concentration. There are also reports of cancer risks, aggressive behaviors and untrusted physical exercises. Experts seem to have a low risk to us.

Bug Gulbul Lotion Bar ingredient

Instead of being filled with toxins like the existing bug spray, the recipe protects and moisturizes the skin while protecting the skin. Use the foundation of coconut oil, shea butter and beeswax. If you are a bit harder, you can also use cocoa butter or mango butter.

I also included a variety of hubs in repelling unwanted insects. If you don’t have it in your hand, you don’t have to use it, but I think it works better. If you need to replace herbs, add more things.

The dried herb works best in this recipe because the fresh herbs can make the injection oil into mold. If you have a fresh herb in your garden, if you want to use, take dehydration first. Here is a guide to the dry hub.

Vitamin E is an option, but it helps to extend the storage life and prevent the oil from oxidizing quickly. It also adds additional protection as essential oils. These are more concentrated than herbs and help to increase the efficiency of the bar. I like to mix these children in plant therapy.

Lotion bar mold

Set the bar using silicone mold. These are the cupcake mold I used, but I also like this heart or a simple flower frame suitable for gifts. There is also a real bar. If you don’t have silicone mold, you can also line up with a cupcake fan.

Inject oil

  • Use a double boiler or glass bowl on a small pot to boil water on the bottom of the fan.

  • Place the coconut oil at the top of the double boiler and add dried rosemary, cloves, white flavor, cinnamon, cats and mint.

  • Cover the bowls or top parts of the boiler, keep the water until at least 30 minutes at the medium temperature, or the darker color, and the rosemary strongly smells. In addition, you can fill the slow cooker with water, add coconut oil and herbs to the glass mason jar, and keep the lowest settings for a few days to create a stronger injection oil.

  • Use a small mesh strainer or cheese cloth to strain the herb out of the oil and pour the oil into the double boiler. The oil will be almost half red and there must be about ½ cup of injected oil. If more, save next time!

Make a lotion bar

  • Use the injected coconut oil to put butter and beeswax in a double boiler and stir until it melts.

  • Remove from heat and add vitamin E oil and essential oils.

  • Pour the liquid into the mold.

  • Leave it on the fungus until it is completely set (one night is best). Or you can increase the process by putting the process in the refrigerator.

  • To use, rub the bars in the exposed area of dry skin to protect them from mosquitoes.
  • Use a cupcake -sized mold in the lotion bar. If you use other sizes, the yield is different.
