US government workers have received e -mails on Saturday afternoon to list or resign from last week.
The e -mail came out after the billionaire Trump’s own Elon Musk would receive an email to get an email to understand what he had done last week.
“The failure of response will be taken by resignation,” he wrote.
Musk is leading external efforts to actively reduce government spending through financing and dismissal.
Immediately after Trump’s speech at the conservative political behavioral meeting (CPAC), the email arrived at the received letter. The message came with the title of “What did you do last week?” In the caller listed as HR.
The HR office, a federal government’s HR, confirmed that the e -mail is authentic in a statement on the BBC’s US news partner CBS.
“As part of the promise of efficient and responsible federal workers, the Trump administration is asking employees to provide a brief summary of what they have done last week by the end of Monday.”
In a copy of the e -mail gained by the BBC, employees have been asked to explain the performance with five bullet points since last week without disclosing the classified information before midnight Monday.
This message did not mention whether the response failure was considered resignation.
The US Civil Service Federation, the largest union representing the federal employees, criticized this message as “cruel and rude” and vowed to challenge the federal staff’s “illegal termination.”
In his statement, Everett Kelley, the union chairman, said, “The Elon Musk and the Trump administration have shown their despair of the important services that they provide to federal employees and American people.
The newly identified FBI director, Kash Patel, told employees that he should “pause the response” to the OPM memo through email.
PATEL wrote in a message from CBS News, “The FBI staff may have received an email requesting information from OPM.” “The FBI is responsible for all review procedures through the director’s office and will be reviewed in accordance with the FBI procedure.”
At the beginning of the day, Trump said that it was inappropriate for federal employees because the federal employees worked at least to some extent to many supporters of CPAC.
The president told the crowd at the annual meeting in the suburbs of Washington on Saturday afternoon, “We are removing all unnecessary, incompetent and corrupt officials in federal labor.”
“We want to make the government smaller and more efficient,” he added. “We want to protect the best people and not protect the worst.”
ELON Musk’s team accurately made a wide range of changes in the US federal infrastructure through the so -called government efficiency (Doge) through the White House approval.
Thousands of officials from the IRS, the Ministry of Defense and the Federal Aviation Bureau (FAA) and other institutions have been fired in recent weeks.
This email reflects the acquisition of the social media platform Twitter in 2022 and dealing with the employees of MUSK. Employees exercised their own ownership and published their final enthusiasm, including coffee to promise “very hard core” at work.
Trump applauded Musk’s government cutting measures.
Trump said in a social post that MUSK is doing “great things” to reduce the size of the federal government and want to see “more aggressive” in the pursuit.
