To help you get ready for shopping with statistics on Amazon’s Big Spring Sale on March 25th, we’ve put together a list of smart and easy ways to earn $150 or more in Amazon Credit to use on purchases!
Here’s how to get Amazon credit easily:
1. Consolidate prepaid cards into one Amazon gift card.
If you have money left on various prepaid cards, you can use them to reload Amazon gift cards and combine smaller amounts into one lump sum to spend all in one place. This is kind of like finding free money, as the amount left is often small and difficult to use. #girlmath 😉
To do this, go to Amazon’s gift card reload page and enter the remaining balance on the card. “$Other” field. Add the card to your cart, go to checkout, and add that prepaid card as a payment method. Once the transaction is complete, you can delete the card from your account.

2. Receive a gift card instantly upon approval for your Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card.
If you’re comfortable using a new credit card, Amazon is offering up to $150 in Amazon gift cards to existing Prime members when you’re approved for an Amazon Prime Visa card.
If approved, you will receive a gift card. soonYou get your money back on every purchase. Plus, if you’re a frequent Amazon shopper, these rewards can really add up quickly over time!
Plus, with your new card, you’ll get 5% back on Amazon, Whole Foods Market, and Chase Travel with eligible Prime membership. Cardholders can also get 6% back with Amazon Day Delivery or 10% back by selecting rotating items and categories!
You’ll also get 2% back at participating restaurants, gas stations, local public transportation (including ridesharing), and 1% back on everything else. Best of all, there are no annual credit card fees! 😋
3. Get Amazon Credit once you’re approved for your Amazon Store card.
Prime members who are approved for an Amazon Store Card can receive an Amazon gift card immediately! Prices can vary, but I’ve found them to be anywhere from $10 to $60! The Amazon Store Card gives Prime members a 5% rebate on Amazon.com and Whole Foods Market. This card has no annual fee and a 0% APR on eligible purchases. The APR for ineligible purchases is 29.99%, so use your card with that in mind.
4. Become a member of the Amazon buyer panel and get free Amazon cash.

However, when you try to be added to the waitlist or register, you may see that you already have an invite!
There are three ways to use this app to get credit for your Amazon gift card balance.
- Take any available surveys. Credits are automatically added to your Amazon Shopper Panel account.
- Scan or download receipts for purchases made outside of Amazon. You can earn up to $10 per month using this method!
- Complete the offer provided to you. You may see an option to receive rewards for purchasing certain items, similar to how Ibotta and Fetch offer them. Space is limited in this part of the program.
All rewards will be credited to your Amazon account within the following time period: First 48 hours of each monthSo, it’s a good idea to start now to get it and use it in time for the next sale.
5. Look for opportunities to earn free credit on Amazon eGift card purchases.
In the past, Prime members could receive $5 Amazon credit with a $50 Amazon eGift card purchase!
We don’t know if Amazon will offer similar credits until their Spring 2026 sale event, but we’re certainly hopeful! Sign up for text alerts from Hip2Save to be the first to know when this great opportunity will return this fall.
6. See if you can potentially get a $12 bonus credit when you use Amazon Reload.
Last year, first-time Prime members could receive a $12 gift card bonus credit when they used Amazon Reload to reload an Amazon e-Gift card worth $100 or more in a single transaction.
We can’t guarantee that this offer will come back, but we’ll do our best!
7. Cash out your Shopkick points for Amazon gift cards.
Shopkick users can sometimes earn “kicks” or points just by entering a store. No purchase required! You can then exchange those kicks for gift cards, including to Amazon! Amazon gift cards typically cost fewer points than other major retailers, so this is an easy way to add them to your Amazon credit balance.
8. Look for unrushed shipping offers.
Are you ready to shop Amazon sales? Look carefully at checkout to see if you have the option to receive rush shipping coverage.
If you don’t need the package right away, you can choose a slower shipping speed (usually about a week) to receive a small digital reward or instant discount. However, keep in mind that this reward may only apply to some items.
9. Back up your photos with Amazon Photos.
In the past, Amazon Prime members were offered a $15 Amazon Credit offer on purchases of $30 or more in exchange for backing up their photos to Amazon Photo. If you have an offer, it will be mentioned in the banner at the top of the page.
Then download the Amazon Photo app for Android or iOS. Turn on AutoSave to automatically back up your photos. You will receive an email within 4 days with a free $15 Amazon credit.
