Why are meal plans helpful?
If you don’t plan your meals ahead of time, this will be a game changer for you! Here’s why I swear by a weekly meal plan.
- Save time: No more 5 o’clock panic. You already know what you need for dinner, what you need, and how long it will take.
- Save money: Shopping on a plan makes it easier to buy food you’ll actually use and stretch leftovers into other meals.
- Fewer takeaways: It’s much easier to plan dinner and skip the drive-thru when you have your groceries at home.
To make shopping better and more economical, I’ve made it as easy as possible by providing you with a free printable shopping list.

Meal Planning with Leftovers
I only plan my meals Monday through Friday because sometimes I have plans for the weekend. If you have leftover food, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
