El Al will begin expanding service between the United States and Israel this spring, the airline said Wednesday.
In April, El Al will add two weekly flights from Fort Lauderdale, bringing the airline's weekly South Florida flights to seven, including the Miami flight.
In June, the airline will add twice-weekly flights from Los Angeles on Mondays and Wednesdays, bringing the total number of flights on that route to eight, according to El Al.
The airline will also add new weekly flights between Boston and Tel Aviv, which will operate four times a week on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, according to its summer schedule. El Al also said it plans to continue adding flights from New York and Newark during the summer season.
Several airlines have reduced or suspended services to Tel Aviv since the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel, and the airline said it was trying to replenish some of that capacity.
“Starting October 7, El Al has strategically adjusted its U.S. flight schedule to maintain a vital air bridge to the State of Israel,” Shlomi Zafarani, El Al vice president of commercial and aviation relations, said in a statement. “As we enter the summer season, our commitment to U.S. expansion remains strong.”
