French President Emmanuel Macron interrupted a speech on stage at the Africa Forward summit in Nairobi, asking the audience to be quiet.
President Macron called on the two sides to continue their talks outdoors or in bilateral conference rooms after telling attendees there was “a total lack of respect.”
The French leader is in Kenya to attend the Africa Forward summit. The summit brought together more than 30 African leaders, business executives and young entrepreneurs as France seeks to strengthen economic and political ties across the continent.
