England named an unchanged XI for the third T20 international against India at Trent Bridge on Tuesday, looking to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
India were 189-7 after their first match in Durham was marred by rain earlier in the week, leading them to a target of 191 not out at Emirates Old Trafford on Saturday with Jacob Bethel’s 76 not out off 46 balls.
The second T20 in Manchester was notable for the debut of 15-year-old Indian prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. He beat Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue for sixes each and spinner Will Jacks for 14 off 10 balls.

The fourth game of the series takes place in Bristol on Thursday (5.30pm), with the final game taking place at the Utilita Bowl in Southampton on Saturday (2.30pm).
Tongue: I want to play all three forms
Tongue, who has played in 12 Tests for England, taking wickets at an average of 29.66 and is also part of the squad for the impending three-match ODI series against India, said: “I have always wanted to play in all three formats. It is a privilege to play for England.
England seamer Josh Tongue made his T20I debut at the weekend and took figures of 0-46 from four overs.
“You have to recover well after the match. Test cricket is obviously very tough on the body, I have learned that over the last few years.
“So it’s about knowing your body inside out and knowing that you have support around you to help you be as healthy as possible.”
On Sooryavanshi, who got his India opportunity after scoring 776 runs at an incredible batting average of 237.30 in the 2026 IPL for Rajasthan Royals: “I watched him in the IPL and he is obviously an amazing player, an amazing talent.
“He held me for 16 points. It was definitely a good shot, but I try to focus on myself and what I have to do as much as possible.”
